With the first boards going in to convert the overhang into our alpaca shelter the excitement starts to build as well. How will it look? Will the alpacas like it? Oh looks bigger than expected, I need more alpacas. Alpacas are not very picky about their surroundings. A couple of walls and a roof to protect them from the elements. A fence to protect them and grass to eat and water to drink. In return you get to enjoy their cuteness, their wonderful personalities, their beautiful fiber and the calming satisfying rewards of being an alpaca farmer. I’ve been dreaming about this future for many years and am elated that it’s taking shape.
